Let’s get started! We we will call you for a free 20 minute Pre-Design Consultation, to get a better sense of what you are looking for and to answer any questions you may have about our design process.
Phase 1: Creating Your Design
We will meet with you, identify a design style and budget, and take measurements of your space. We then develop a floorplan and identify furniture and decor pieces that work with your budget. We’ll obtain samples as needed, and then send you a digital file with a complete design for your space! Each item is linked, so you can spend as much time as you’d like considering each piece. At this point, you can decide if you’d like to go ahead and order your furniture yourself, or if you’d rather us handle it for you (Phase 2). If you’d like to go back and revise some of the design, we can do that too!
Keep in mind, there are some higher end manufacturers that won’t sell directly to customers – they only sell to designers (aka “to the trade”). In this case we would need to place the order(s) for you (Phase 2).
Wondering how much design time this will take?? Good question! It can be hard to estimate until we have a better sense of the scope of your project and the size of your space. But generally, for an empty, medium sized room (approx. 250 sq ft), plan on roughly about 12-15 hours for Phase 1.
Phase 2: Nuts and Bolts
We’ll take your complete design package from Phase 1 and make it a reality! With the detailed list of your designated furniture and décor, and approval from you, we’ll place all orders and schedule deliveries. We’ve created an excellent operations team so we can bill you at a lower rate for these services.
Phase 3: Making it Real
Last but certainly not least is installing all of the elements of your beautiful design! Our designers are available to style your room into the dream space you’ve been waiting for. Some practical pieces of the puzzle may include hiring movers or subcontractors to arrange furniture, hang draperies and artwork, etc. We can arrange for their services or provide you with direct referrals. We do not receive any payments for these referrals.
